A new European airport will soon be opening in Nantes
In order to deal with the regular increase in traffic and to have a European airport platform for Western France, a new airport platform will be created a few kilometres to the north of the urban area by 2012-2015. The future Nantes international airport will have the capacity to handle 9 million passengers per year. It will be connected by fast shuttle to the centre of the Nantes urban area.
